Don’t find an answer yet? Well, let me show you some of my ways of dealing with them.
1. Distract Yourself
Well, distraction is a term with various meanings. Let me break this down for you.Distract yourself to something that makes you feel good and is a practical possibility.
Keep yourself so busy that you have no leisure time to worry about the non-essentials. The busier your brain, the better it is for a healthy mind.
People often quote an idle mind to be a devils workshop. So beware.

2. Reverse Psychology
If you have difficulty sleeping, get up, decide not to sleep, start working on things that relax you like watching television, music, movies, talking to a person, it could just be anything where you don’t have to exert pressure on your temple.
Many of my friends came back to me saying that reverse psychology always worked on them. Stop trying to push your brain into doing something, just do the opposite and your mind will automatically go the other way round. Try it and let me know your experience in the comments section below.
3. Read a Book
Well! Being an avid reader myself, I would highly suggest this to you.
No matter how great the book is, when you read anything for that matter, it induces sleep quicker than any other technique would.
Overthinking happens usually when you wander off from the truth.
Well, the reading may not help you directly but it helps you think about your problems from a different perspective, each time you think of it.
4. Appreciate the Good positive things
Recount the things you have always been grateful for.

Guilt ties into that.
Overthinking is always exercised because it is a familiar feeling.
Coming out of your comfort zone is the difficulty you should be willing to face to let the positive things fill and replace them.
The way of dealing with over-thinking in a positive way is by facing the thought that is troubling you.
For example, I suck at coding, it is a fact, I got to deal with the fact and work towards it, rather than sulking and considering myself to be an unfit among the crowd.
5. The Human Connection
Yes, sometimes communication is helpful too.Irrespective of the trouble you are involved in, you must confide your trouble to a person you trust, discuss it with them and then not necessarily derive a conclusion.
It just helps us feel better and gives up the courage to face things better and most importantly “Gives Hope”
Always remember the 5 by 5 rule by the author Annahelizabeth, the top five things that you are worried about right now may not be important to you 5 years later, then why give the problem so much authority over your thought process.
This can be applied to anybody, Be It a normal regular human being or a person with dysthymia.
Well, sometimes a simple bubble bath or a warm water bath, followed by some refreshing food makes a stressed overthinking life happier too.
